Taos Engagement with Dorie and Cass

Dorie and Cass are getting married in June at the El Monte Sagrado in Taos. I couldn’t be more excited to work with this couple! They were so much fun at their engagement shoot and were willing to do things different….including laying on the ice and climbing under old trucks. I wonder what I can get them to do in their wedding clothes?? We started this shoot at the El Monte and then went to my favorite secret spot in Taos for the rest. They changed their clothes for the second part and could not have clashed more….which was perfect! Have you seen Footloose…the one with Kevin Bacon of course…check out the photos on the old truck. I couldn’t get Cass to dance for me though. I think I have found you a wedding theme song guys! See you in June.  Taos Wedding Photographer

Sara and Anthony’s Santa Fe Winter Wedding

Sara and Anthony got married at the beautiful La Posada in Santa Fe. Even without the lush summer foliage you can still get great images at this fantastic resort. My favorite pictures were inside with only window light in The Fuego dining room where the dinner reception was held. This is one of my favorite old buildings in Santa Fe. You just can’t go wrong here if you want an historical Southwest atmosphere. I was accompanied for the first time by my intern Samantha Waidler who contributed a few fantastic images to this slideshow as well. Of course I can’t make great wedding photos without a great couple to make it all happen. Sara and Anthony were so much fun to work with and just so natural in front of the camera. I enjoyed you both so much. Thank you for such a fun and inspiring day!

Vicki and Mathew get married in Taos

Vicki called me last minute to take a few pictures of her and Mathew on their wedding day. We met behind the Overland Trading Co. for some great mountain views. I have used this location once before and it is always a beautiful spot even on the overcast dark day we had last Friday. These guys looked awesome. I wish I had more time with them, but the sun went down fast!

Tabitha and Derek’s Wedding in Aruba

Tabitha is one of my best friends from high school and has always been like family. So off to Aruba we went for her wedding with her honey, Derek, her sister and Derek’s parents. Since Tabitha’s mother, Vicki, passed away a few years ago she has had a strong connection with butterflies. This first photo I took at the Aruba Butterfly Farm is dedicated in memory of Vicki. Tabitha and Derek were married on the beach in front of the Riu Palace. After a Steak and Lobster dinner we went to the Sopranos Piano Bar where Tabitha sang us a song. The following day was horse back riding and we took some more wedding photos. I did not get Tabitha in the water in her dress, but a white bathing suit with her veil worked out just fine! Oh, and for those of you always wanting my advice on the best travel camera, this first photo and the last 8 are taken with my Canon S95, a very cool little camera. I was not lugging my big camera around everywhere we went and this little pocket camera took some pretty awesome photos.
